Idea of Temple & Assembly Hall was conceived. Activities were being performed in different homes and halls

Hindu Temple of Kern County came into existence

Approval by Internal Revenue Service as Non Profit Charitable Organization

Conditional Use Permit granted by City of Bakersfield

Received title of the land on 6700 Valleyview Drive, Bakersfield, California

Temple’s 20th Anniversary was celebrated in a grand manner.
Temple Infrastructure Improvement Project (TIIP) was initiated in May and the following major improvements were completed by December:
- Temple sound system was replaced with a Digital Mixer
- Hall Sound system was extensively revamped with a new Digital Mixer and “ease of use” Mic system
- Electronic donation collection system was established and switched over from paper receipt system to facilitate all payments including Credit/Debit cards
- Entire parking lot was repaired, resealed and recoated
- Flooring in Sri Balaji complex was replaced

to replace the old .
● Enhanced Security by Installing Iron Grids on windows, Installing extra Motion Sensors and Ring Doorbell at

● Online Hall Rental and Membership Forms, Digital Dropbox created for vital information related to Temple
operations , Enhanced connectivity for WiFi between Temple and Hall
● Landscape Cleanup and Sprinkler system repairs
● Temple Main Wooden Door Resurfacing

● Solar Project Completed: 85 Sun mac 405 watt panels for 34.425kW , 2 Solar Edge Inverters
● 1 ton mini split HVAC unit for Electrical room
● Tile Flooring of Shiva Complex was replaced
● Parking lot Repair and Repavement
● All Exterior and Parking lot lights replaced and changed to LED
● Addition of Gazebo which can function as Yagna Mandap, Concrete benches around the Peepal tree , Shoe Rack
and Walkway Benches repair and a decorative fountain – by Krrish Kapadia for Boys Scouts Project
● Painting of the Fence and Gates around the Temple perimeter by Arhan Aggarwal for Boys Scouts Project
● New Smart Display TVs and Upgraded powered Speakers and Audio Mixer in Temple
